ABOUT US
What is STSA? STSA aims to assist Carleton students with tax filing and tax literacy. We run multiple events each semester centered around tax-related topics. In March we host our annual tax clinic on campus at Carleton University, where we help students in the preparation of their income tax returns.
MEET THE
EXECUTIVE TEAM
President
Ryan Giang
Ryan is the President of STSA and is a third-year Accounting student. He is responsible for overseeing the tax clinic, event planning, communicating with sponsors, and overseeing the various portfolios of STSA. In his free time he likes doing photography.
VP Finance
Kaleb Denning
Kaleb is the VP Finance of STSA and is a fourth-year Management student. He's responsible for overseeing the club’s financial operations, including budgeting, reimbursements, and funding applications. He also ensures that all financial processes are handled with accuracy and transparency.
VP Marketing Strategy
Kainaat Safdar
Kainaat is the VP Marketing of STSA and a fourth-year Management and Marketing student. She oversees all marketing and communications for the club, including creating promotional content and graphics, managing STSA’s social media platforms, and maintaining the website. In her free time, she enjoys baking and travelling.
VP Operations
Laurier Lamontagne
Laurier is the VP Operations of STSA and a fourth-year Accounting student. He manages the club’s internal affairs, supports the President with client inquiries, assists the VP Tax Clinic, and maintains communication with key stakeholders. In his free time, he enjoys skateboarding, running and anything that involves hanging out with his friends.

Paige is the VP Tax Events of STSA and a fourth-year Accounting student. She leads the planning and execution of the club’s tax literacy events and the annual tax clinic, managing logistics, securing speakers, and coordinating marketing with the VP Marketing to engage students and maximize attendance. In her free time, she likes to workout and shop.

Thomas is the VP Tax Events of STSA and a fourth-year Accounting student. He leads the planning and execution of the club’s tax literacy events and the annual tax clinic, managing logistics, securing speakers, and coordinating marketing with the VP Marketing to engage students and maximize attendance. In his free time, he likes to stay active by playing hockey, golf, and going to the gym.

Dalal is an Executive Director for STSA and a third-year Accounting student. In her free time, she enjoys baking, playing volleyball and going for walks.

VP Tax Clinic Director
Laith Elsousi
Laith is the VP Tax Clinic Director for STSA and a third-year Accounting student with a stream in International Management. He oversees the operations of STSA’s annual tax clinic, managing logistics, volunteer coordination, and communication with the CVITP program. He collaborates with the Tax Clinic team to ensure compliance with CRA standards and smooth, efficient execution. In his free time, he likes to stay active by playing soccer, volleyball and table tennis. He enjoys going to the movies as well.
